GAITHERSBURG, Md., February 4, 2009 — Sodexo has been named one of Experience, Inc.’s 2009 Best Places to Work for Recent Grads, representing the only integrated foodservice and facilities management company on this year’s list.

Sodexo was recognized for adapting to the evolving workforce and supporting social causes important to the new employee generation. The company was cited for its wide variety of jobs in a range of industries, as well as its professional development opportunities and extraordinary corporate citizenship.

Experience, Inc., a leading provider of career services for college students and alumni, chose organizations that are currently recruiting from candidates set to graduate in 2009.

“Of the 1,800 new entry-level Sodexo employees projected for 2009, these recent grads will explore their varied interests across our range of business lines,” said Arie Ball, Sodexo Vice President for Sourcing and Talent Acquisition. Ball added that to help new hires and interns attain their career potential, Sodexo offers professional growth programs. These include Sodexo’s Future Leaders internship program, which selects college students for paid internships. The program, which helps transition successful interns to management positions upon graduation, began three years ago with 39 interns and now projects 115 interns onboard for 2009.

According to a poll by Experience, four out of five college students would prefer to work for companies that exhibit corporate social responsibility. “Sodexo’s award-winning programs promoting sustainability, diversity and employee volunteerism are highly valued by today’s college grads,” said Ball. “And the Sodexo Foundation’s STOP Hunger initiative is a model of company-wide involvement that appeals to Gen-Y employees.”

Experience’s Best Places to Work for Recent Grads survey ran from July to November 2008, garnering responses from nearly 400 corporate recruiters and employers. After narrowing the field to 40 companies and interviewing company representatives and recent college grad hires, the final list of 20 organizations was selected.
