Sodexo Expands Government Affairs and Compliance Team

GAITHERSBURG, Md., January 13, 2010 — Sodexo, Inc., world leader in Quality of Daily Life solutions, announced today the appointment of Jessica P. Montoya as vice president of Government Affairs and assistant general counsel.

Montoya brings extensive corporate, legislative and financial experience to Sodexo. Most recently, she was Manager of Congressional Affairs for Chrysler Corporation. She held prior positions as Public Affairs Manager for Washington Gas and on the staff of DC Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton. 

In addition, Montoya serves on the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School’s Alumni Advisory Board and the Boards of Trustees for the Hispanic College Fund and Hispanic Lobbyists Association.

At Sodexo, Montoya’s responsibilities include representing the company’s interests on legislative and policy matters involving Capitol Hill, the administration, and other levels of government as well as with several membership associations. In her role as assistant general counsel, she will also assist in company compliance activity relating to lobbying disclosure, PAC activity and related fields.

Montoya is a licensed attorney in New Mexico, where she was born and raised. She holds an MBA from the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School and a B.A. and J.D. from the University of New Mexico.
