Sodexo Appoints Leader of Affordable Energy Nonprofit to Business Advisory Board

GAITHERSBURG, Md., March 2, 2009 — To further expand its corporate citizenship and business innovations, Sodexo, Inc., today announced the appointment of John Hofmeister, chief executive of Citizens for Affordable Energy, to the Sodexo Business Advisory Board, a group of respected leaders, academicians and entrepreneurs whose recommendations help guide the North America operations for the leading integrated food and facilities management services company.

After retiring from the presidency of Shell Oil Company in July 2008, Mr. Hofmeister founded and leads Citizens for Affordable Energy, a not-for-profit, nationwide membership association. This Washington, D.C. based public policy education organization promotes sound U.S. energy security solutions, including affordable energy supplies, efficiency improvements, essential infrastructure, sustainable environmental policies and public education on energy issues.
