Sodexo Supports Families of Fallen to Commemorate Memorial Day

GAITHERSBURG, Md., May 30, 2016 — Sodexo, world leader in Quality of Life Services, commemorated Memorial day through the work of the company’s Military Employee Business Resource Group, HONOR (Honoring Our Nation's finest with Opportunity and Respect) who provided volunteers to facilitate activities for families participating in the Good Grief Camp for Young Survivors in Washington D.C.,  hosted by the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) which offers compassionate care to all those grieving the death of a loved one serving in our Armed Forces.  This is the fourth consecutive year that members of HONOR have supported the TAPS Memorial weekend activities.

The mission of Sodexo HONOR is to provide support, guidance and resources to employees and families connected to the military by offering development opportunities, providing a forum to recognize and celebrate contributions made to our country, and establishing partnerships with community groups that support veterans, active duty, National Guard and military reserve.

In addition to commemorating Memorial Day, Sodexo has joined the nation during the month of May in celebration of National Military Appreciation Month, by recognizing the many veterans on its team for their service to our country as well as the rich history and diversity of America's armed services. Throughout the month , Sodexo has raised awareness of the extraordinary contributions and sacrifices made by those who wear the uniform and their families.
