One of the things about working at Sodexo, of which I am most proud, is our service spirit in helping those less fortunate in the communities where we do business. Sodexo Servathon month kicks off tomorrow, April 1. The goal of Servathon is to motivate thousands of our employees to join together during the month of April to fight hunger in their local communities and every year you respond with fantastic results.
I am also proud that our Sodexo Servathon has spread to other Sodexo teams across the globe. Here in North America, our teams in all divisions in the US, Canada, and Mexico will participate throughout the month of April to fight hunger and poverty in their local communities.
Your participation can be very simple, such as spending a few hours volunteering at a local hunger relief organization, organizing a fundraising activity or Payroll Deduction Drive, or conducting a food drive.
Servathon is an essential part of our company's STOP Hunger initiative and is one of the largest fundraisers for the Sodexo Foundation.
I encourage all of our employees to do their part during Sodexo Servathon to fight hunger by joining forces to give - not only money - but of your time to help those less fortunate in this time of increasing need.
