GAITHERSBURG, Md., March 27, 2007- Sodexho (NYSE: SDX), a leader in the areas of diversity and inclusion, has earned two prestigious awards: a place on Latina Style magazine's list of “Top 50 Companies for Latinas in 2006” for the fifth time; and was named one of Hispanic Trends magazine “Top 50 Corporations for Supplier Diversity”.
According to LATINA Style, companies were evaluated based on their number of Latina executives, mentoring programs, Latina board members, educational opportunities, recruitment efforts, alternative work policies, dependent/child care support, employee benefits, women's issues, job retraining, affinity groups and relationships with diverse suppliers. Additional factors for the awards are Sodexho's involvement in the Hispanic community, including its philanthropy efforts.
Hispanic Trends magazine listed Sodexho as one of the “Top 50 Corporations for Supplier Diversity” for its efforts in providing the most opportunities for the Hispanic community and organizations in such areas as recruitment, scholarships, and minority vendor/supplier diversity programs.
Sodexho has been recognized as a leader in the areas of diversity and inclusion consistently over the past five years. In 2006, it was named a “Top 50 Company for Diversity” by DiversityInc, a “Top Employer for African-American Graduates” by Black Collegian Magazine and ranked among the “Corporate 100 List of Best Places to Work for Latinos” by HISPANIC Magazine.
