Sodexho USA and Georgia Tech Recognized for Award-Winning Dining Program

Foodservice program wins multiple honors for customer service and student outreach

ATLANTA - June 27, 2005 - Sodexho USA, [NYSE: SDX], the leading foodservice provider to colleges and universities in the nation, is proud to announce that its program at Georgia Tech has been recognized with two prestigious awards from the higher education and foodservice community.

The National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS) awarded Sodexho and Georgia Tech the 2005 Loyal E. Horton bronze medal in the residence hall dining/multiple concepts category for their excellent in residential dining outlets. Colleges and universities from around the country were judged on various criteria including variety of menu options, responsiveness to new dining trends, merchandising and presentation, nutritional soundness and overall impression.

“Our mission, first and foremost, is to provide the faculty, staff, students and guests of Georgia Tech with an outstanding dining experience so it is truly an honor to be recognized as one of the premier university dining programs for service and variety by the NACUFS,” Vern Johnson, Sodexho Campus Services district manager. “I couldn't be prouder of my team.”

Schools were also evaluated on their use of student input and feedback in menu creation and development as well as recipe, menu and product evaluations.

“Students have always been an excellent source for ideas to make our program better - they aren't shy about letting us know when something is really good and when there is room for improvement. We take their feedback very seriously,” added Johnson.

Sodexho and Georgia Tech were also recognized at the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS) southern conference for outstanding collaboration and partnership in a joint marketing campaign for the Georgia Tech meal plans. Over a three-year period, Sodexho increased participation in voluntary unlimited meal plans by over 170%. This is the first time NACAS presented such an award.
