Dr. Rohini Anand
Senior Vice President and Global Chief Diversity Officer

Dr. Rohini Anand is Senior Vice President and Global Chief Diversity Officer for Sodexo, a leading provider of food and facilities management services with $20 billion or 13.4 billion euro in annual revenue and nearly 355,000 employees in 80 countries. In her current role, Dr. Anand is responsible for the strategic direction, implementation, and alignment of Sodexo's integrated global diversity initiatives including sustainable development and corporate citizenship strategies.
Previously, Dr. Anand served as Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer for Sodexo USA, where she lead the organization's overall diversity and inclusion strategy. Dr. Anand was responsible for designing and developing the organization's workforce diversity strategy, launching sustained culture change initiatives including employee network groups, developing and implementing a comprehensive learning strategy, and developing and implementing a “diversity scorecard” that links managers' diversity achievement with their annual compensation.

Widely considered a leading expert on organizational change and diversity and inclusion, Dr. Anand has authored several manuals and has been published in numerous trade journals. Her works include texts on cultural competency and diversity training such as a chapter in The SAGE Handbook of Intercultural Compentancy (2009), Customizing Diversity Training Using Case Vignettes (2001), Multicultural Case Studies: Tools for Training (1999), Teaching Skills and Cultural Competence: A Guide for Trainers (1997) and Cultural Competency in Health Care: A Guide for Trainers (1997).
Dr. Anand has also been the recipient of many prestigious awards and honors including the 2009 Women's Foodservice Forum Trailblazer Award, the Maryland International Business Leadership Award, the American Institute for Managing Diversity's Individual Leader Award, Webster University's 2008 Women of Influence Award, Diversity Best Practices Diversity Officer Leadership Award, and Diversity Edge Magazine's Top 20 Diversity Champions. In addition, under Dr. Anand's leadership, Sodexo is ranked #6 in DiversityInc.'s list of 2009 Top 50 Companies for Diversity.

Dr. Anand received her PhD from the University of Michigan and has served on the boards of several organizations including, the Women's Foodservice Forum, the MultiCultural Foodservice and Hospitality Alliance, the National MultiCultural Institute, the Johnetta B. Cole Global Diversity and Inclusion Institute, ORC's Global Diversity Advisory Board, ACTSO Board of the NAACP, the Corporate and Philanthropic Council of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, and the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund.

 

Bill Anstee
Senior Director of Diversity, Healthcare

Bill Anstee, Senior Director of Diversity for the Healthcare Market Segment has been with Sodexo and its affiliates for over 20 years. Bill's career has spanned all of the company's divisions and includes operations, human resources, recruiting, and diversity work. As Senior Director of Diversity, he is responsible for creating and implementing various diversity related strategies and ensuring the Healthcare diversity strategy coincides with the overall corporate program. Bill reports directly to the President of the Healthcare Market and is a member of the executive team. He also is a member of the company's Diversity Leadership Team.

Bill has been instrumental in supporting many Human Resources and Diversity initiatives including launching the company's first Diversity Council as well as co-chairing the company's Disability Task Force. He is a member of The Pennsylvania State University's College of Human Development Diversity Board and is active in the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality recruiting programs for the company. Bill also is an inaugural board member of the Asian Health Care Leaders Association. Bill has also served on The Tressler Lutheran Services Board, Widner University Advisory Board, Delaware State University Hospitality Board, and has been active with the HBCU Consortium and The United Way's Loaned Executive program.

Bill holds a BS degree from The Pennsylvania State University in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management and a minor in Individual Family Studies and Counseling. Bill resides in Delaware where he participates in community activities supporting the Stop Hunger Foundation and Community Kitchens programs throughout the U.S.

 

Betsy Silva Hernandez
Senior Director Diversity, Learning & Consulting

Betsy has more than 18 years of senior-level operations, human resources and diversity leadership experience. She has served as the Chief Diversity Officer and Vice President for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. As the company's first Chief Diversity Officer, Betsy successfully developed and implemented a comprehensive diversity strategy, led a business growth study focused on multicultural marketing, implemented a process to operationalize a company wide cultural competence strategy, and provided input to a diversity talent management process which includes recruitment branding, succession planning, job rotation programs, and leadership development strategies.

As the Chief Diversity Strategist for Freddie Mac she developed and implemented a corporate diversity strategy that aligned with the company's corporate mission, implemented a minority leadership development program, repositioned the company's employee networks with business objectives, launched the School of Diversity within Freddie Mac University, and produced Freddie Mac's annual diversity report Under Betsy's direction and leadership, Working Mother Magazine named American Express to its 2002 list of “Ten Best Companies for Working Mothers.” At Sara Lee Branded Apparel, she worked with the company's CEO, division Presidents and regional country executives to successfully design, implement and monitored a comprehensive global diversity strategy that became an industry benchmark.

She is a frequent guest speaker on topics that include Latino and Hispanics in the U.S., managing personal and professional change, career development, strategic workplace diversity, diversity in healthcare, cultural competence, balancing the demands of work and personal life, and women in the workplace. She has been a guest speaker at the Chief Diversity Officers Summit, National Hispanic MBA Conference, the Conference Boards Diversity Council, Conference Boards Diversity Workshops, Diversity Best Practices Conference, Catalyst Awards Conference, Raytheon's Women's Conference, National Women's Conference and Blue Cross Blue Shield Associations Diversity Conference.
Betsy is certified as a Myers-Briggs analyst, in the Intercultural Diversity Inventory (IDI), and in the multi-rater (360 degree feedback) instrument, Profilor. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Inter-American University in Puerto Rico. She is a 2005 National Hispana Leadership Fellow and a graduate of the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.

 

Cecy Kuruvilla
Market Senior Director Diversity, Education Services

Cecy Kuruvilla of Sodexo USA is responsible for creating and implementing the education market's diversity and inclusion strategies, and ensuring that they are aligned with Sodexo's corporate diversity strategy and related programs. She reports to the Market President and works closely with division business leaders and human resources to provide guidance, resources, tools and actions that advance business diversity goals and division business plans.

Cecy also provides diversity consulting and training services to clients to help them create supportive environments for learning and encouraging constructive change. She has facilitated executive leadership retreats and developed training curricular for employees and resident assistants on campuses.

Her previous experience of 20+ years includes directing diversity and organizational change efforts at Freddie Mac, Johns Hopkins University and AT&T as well as President of Kuruvilla Associates. In her various roles, she has had extensive experience creating and managing diversity and change initiatives. Her work has also included strategic planning, developing and implementing organizational assessments and executive coaching. She specializes in cross-cultural communications and leadership development. She has developed and delivered courses, as well as trained internal facilitators.

Cecy has been an invited panelist and keynote speaker on diversity/multiculturalism at seminars and conferences. She is a past member of the Diversity Advisory Board of TJX Corp. and member of the Community Advisory Board of the Sarasota School District, Florida. She currently serves on the board of the Center for APA Women.
Cecy holds an MS in Human Resources/ Organization Development from American University, Washington, D.C. and an MA in Psychology from the University of Mysore, India. Her BA degree is in Psychology & Political Science from St. Agnes College, Mangalore, India.

 

Rolddy Leyva
Senior Director of Diversity, Corporate & Government Services

Rolddy Leyva is the Senior Director of Diversity for Sodexo's Corporate & Government Service market segments, a role he assumed in July of 2007. In this capacity, Rolddy reports directly to the Market Presidents of his two market segments and is a member of their respective senior leadership teams. He provides diversity counsel and leadership to the executive teams of these market segments and is responsible for developing & implementing comprehensive, fully integrated diversity solutions that drive Sodexo's workplace & marketplace diversity plans.

In addition to his North American duties, Rolddy also contributes to Sodexo's global diversity initiative by leading the organization's diversity function in Latin America. He develops highly customized diversity plans in collaboration with country leaders to enhance talent & business development in the region, advancing Sodexo's positioning as a global leader in workplace & marketplace diversity & inclusion.

Prior to this position, Rolddy served as Sr Director of Staffing & Performance Planning for Corporate Services - a role he assumed when he joined Sodexo in March of 2006. While in this position, he led the development and implementation of the talent management philosophy and processes for a Division of 15,000+ employees.

Rolddy joined Sodexo from Capital One Financial Services where he was Director of Human Resources/Diversity. During his six years with Capital One, Rolddy designed and deployed a management recruiting strategy for the company's Hispanic Line of Business, developed the company's formalized Flexible Work Arrangement program, and developed the company's first formalized executive diversity development program.

Prior to joining Capital One, he spent six years with Anheuser-Busch Companies where he held a variety of roles within Human Resources, including launching an international recruiting strategy for the company's theme-park division.

 

Texanna M. Reeves
Vice President, Corporate Diversity

Texanna leads the on-going advancement and implementation of Sodexho's integrated Diversity strategy for North America with 125,000+ employees and 6,000+ client sites. She is responsible for the management of diversity training & consulting initiatives, network groups, mentoring, work life initiatives, EEO & Affirmative Action functions including diversity scorecard and metrics.
Formerly Ms. Reeves was Sodexo's Market Senior Director for Health Care Services in which she lead the diversity and inclusion for the Hospital, Senior Services and Laundry divisions. She proactively consulted with divisional leadership to meet diversity scorecard objectives and consulted with them on ways to leverage diversity for client retention and business growth. Her diversity management experience extends to her former position with a Fortune 50 company as the Director Workforce Strategies & Programs. She was responsible for the company's corporate diversity strategy in which she developed from the ground level a diversity management system that was recognized for award winning programs and best practices in the field.
Texanna has over 12 years of management experience and has held various positions in Operations and Strategic Business Planning. She received a Masters in Business Administration from Mercer University. She has been honored with a number of professional awards for her leadership such as Georgia-Pacific Women of Achievement Award in 2004. Texanna is a respected leader in Diversity and her board participation includes Conference Board Diversity Business Council, American Leadership Council on Diversity in Health Care, and the Advisory Board for American Institute for Managing Diversity. Texanna continues her commitment to community service and is actively involved.
