Sodexo's Champions of Diversity program recognizes employees who go above and beyond to advance diversity and inclusion at Sodexo.
Our most recent Champions of Diversity winner was Benito Cortes, General Manager, West Orange Schools, NJ. Benito's caring spirit and personality have garnered respect from his team, customers and the community. He recognizes the significance of keeping his staff informed and frequently solicits their feedback. By doing so, he has notably raised team morale and respect since his arrival at West Orange Schools. Benito utilizes Sed de Saber as the chosen method to help Spanish-speaking employees improve their English language skills. Additionally, he has developed trainings centered on diversity and inclusion, building better relationships and establishing industry best practices. Benito sponsored a Holiday Luncheon for the West Orange Senior Citizens of his community during the holidays. It is through ideals put to action that Benito demonstrates what it means to be a “Champion of Diversity.”
