Sodexo’s Chazz Alberti to Lead Culinary Development for Leisure Services

GAITHERSBURG, Md., December 18, 2009 — Sodexo Inc., leader in Quality of Life Solutions, announces the appointment of Executive Chef Chazz Alberti as national director of culinary standards for Sodexo Leisure Services, a newly formed division of Sodexo Corporate Services. Sodexo Leisure Services provides on-site solutions to cultural destinations, conference centers and public venues throughout the U.S.

Alberti's role will be to work with culinary and special event teams on strategic design, development and delivery of innovative culinary solutions that support each venue's cultural mission and identity. Alberti will continue to focus on the division's initiative of integrating sustainable and local products into menus.

Alberti joined Sodexo in 2000 and most recently served as Executive Chef at the Chase River Center in Wilmington, Delaware. He began his career during the Philadelphia restaurant renaissance, studying under iconic Philadelphia chef Nicholas Petruse. He previously held culinary leadership roles at The Sands Hotel and Casino, Le Champignon and Restaurant Mirabelle.
