Sodexo Named One of World’s Top 50 Green Outsourcing Suppliers

GAITHERSBURG, Md., April 27, 2009 - Sodexo has been ranked among the world's Top 50 Green Vendors as part of the Black Book's Best Managed Global Outsourcing Vendors 2009 study conducted around the world by polling over 26,000 services and tech industry users. The results of the 3rd Black Book of Outsourcing’s “Top Green Vendors” study were announced by outsourcing and market research firm Brown-Wilson Group, which conducts the annual study, on Earth Day.

The 2009 Green study explored new trends and factors that are impacting outsourcing management and delved into factors like how economic conditions contribute to making the most environmentally-friendly suppliers, both offshore and onshore. Research aspects included organizational priorities, budget constraints, option scarcity, the use of contractors to minimize energy consumption, and perceptions of corporate responsibility.
