Sodexo Named a Best Company for Multicultural Women

Working Mother Magazine recognizes company's commitment to diversity
GAITHERSBURG, Md., May 25, 2010 – Sodexo was named today as one of Working Mother magazine's 2010 Best Companies for Multicultural Women in recognition of the company's commitment to diversity and inclusion. The list honors companies with programs and policies that actively support multicultural employees, such as formal mentoring, regular reviews of progress on annual diversity goals, and networking opportunities with senior leaders.

Working Mother's recognition honors companies that dedicate themselves to bringing more perspectives to the decision-making table by promoting the advancement of multicultural women. Best Companies for Multicultural Women Methodology: To be considered for Best Companies for Multicultural Women, each company applied and supplied Working Mother with 2009 data about the hiring, pay and promotion of multicultural employees. Applications focus on representation of multicultural women; recruitment; retention and advancement programs; and company culture. This year, equal weight was given to all segments of the 350-question survey. An independent survey research firm tabulated the scores.
