Working for a better tomorrow
Enhancing Quality of Life means a commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility. It means enhancing the environment, health and vitality of our communities for today and tomorrow.
Through The Better Tomorrow Plan, a global roadmap for our corporate sustainability efforts, we partner with clients to help them innovate and implement successful sustainability programs. We improve the engagement of their employees and customers, make a difference in their local communities and help protect the environment for future generations.
Partnerships that enhance Quality of Life
Sodexo is proud to work together with clients to improve Quality of Life by promoting health and wellness, reducing energy consumption, preventing waste and sourcing sustainable products. With our shared commitment to sustainability we are making a difference for our health, for our environment and for our communities.
To deliver greater results for sustainability, we partner with leading organizations working toward sustainability and corporate social responsibility, including: World Wildlife Fund, Ceres, Business for Social Responsibility, the Sustainable Food Lab, Fair Trade USA, Rainforest Alliance, the Marine Stewardship Council and Healthy Mondays.
Sodexo serves 89 of the nation's most environmentally responsible "green colleges." These campuses were named to The Princeton Review’s Guide to 322 Green Colleges: 2012 Edition, which profiles institutions of higher education in the United States and Canada that demonstrate notable commitments to sustainability in their academic offerings, campus infrastructure, activities and career preparation.
Sodexo has helped more than 260 schools nationwide improve student well being and achieve recognition with awards from the Healthier US Schools Challenge.
Sodexo partners with over 100 hospitals that have signed the Healthcare Without Harm or the Healthier Hospitals Initiative pledges. Several of the hospitals we serve have also received recognition for environmental excellence from Practice Greenhealth. These include:
